Join me for an informal - free - Sunday Morning Growers’ Chat. Let’s share our experiences of the 2026 growing season - the highs, lows and surprises.

Bring along your morning coffees, and even a brunchtime snack and sit between the raised flower beds while I share exactly what, why, where and when I’ve planted different flower varieties in the walled garden through the season. I’ll share how they’ve fared during this particularly hot and dry summer and how they’re progressing: the highs, lows and the surprises. As well as the interesting contrasts and differences between the flowers in my growing field at Hadden, across the river Tweed, versus the historic walled garden at the Hirsel.

This will be an informal discussion where we can all share our woes and wins, tips and tricks of the growing year, and as it’s not over yet, there’s plenty of treats to see in those flower beds now and in the coming months.

Ranging from a diverse wild flower cutting mix, to sweet-peas, calla lilies, oriental lilies, sunflowers, dahlias and much more unusual exotics … I have something to interest everyone.
