WILL YOU VISIT OUR PEONY FIELD?

PEONY FIELD TOUR

We are opening our private Peony Field for one morning (into lunchtime) during the height of our peony season, for a free tour, to take photos of the peonies in bloom, and informative - informal - talks and demos throughout the field and morning. The talks will include information on our large range of peony varieties, their unique properties, how we harvest and condition our peonies, and tips on how you can care-for and arrange our peonies at home.

You’re very welcome to bring a picnic rug and picnic brunch with you to sit back and enjoy the view and peony floral scents in the air. Just make sure you have a designated driver if you decide to make it a tipsy brunch…! This would be a perfect visit for any engaged couples, brides-to-be with their friends or anyone who simply loves gardening (and peonies of course) — and would like to learn more about our beautiful peonies.

Sunday 8th June; 10am - 1pm.

Please note, ths is NOT a pick-your-own opportunity. Please do not cut, break or damage our peony flowers and plants. We carefully manage the harvesting of a very limited number of stems from the plants each year, to maintain the plants’ strength for following seasons.

There WILL be plenty of pre-cut and wrapped peony bunches available for you to purchase and take home with you, at the end of your visit.

The tour and talks are free, but we do require you to pre-book before the visit. Please complete the form below to book for you and your party.

Only Guide Dogs or legitimate Service Dogs. *

Personal use Photography Only. No Commercial Photography.

Please be mindful that this is a private peony field — remove all remnants of your picnic etc and leave the field as you found it.

* A Notice to Dog Owners

Our apologies, but for bio-security reasons and as the field is an extension of our garden and there will be small children in attendance, only guide dogs or legitimate service dogs may enter the field.

And as we have (highly flighty) thoroughbred mares and foals elsewhere on the farm please respect that we cannot risk having any dogs off their leads elsewhere on the farm, and all dog poo MUST be bagged and taken home with you to avoid any risk of abortions in our breeding stock.
