Create your own Bespoke, Sustainable Christmas Wreath using our Farm Grown Straw as the Base.
Measure your Door and Create an entirely Bespoke-to-You Christmas Wreath - or Free Form Shape - with our Golden Straw, Farm Grown Seasonal Foliage, Berries and more…
The benefits of creating your Christmas Wreath with a Bespoke Straw-Base versus Traditional Metal Wreath Frames, Manufactured Straw Frames or even Willow Wreath Rings are multiple: you can achieve a large, strong, chunky frame very quickly; you can create a bespoke size that fits your door etc without being pigeonholed by set 12, 14, 16” manufactured frames; the straw is dry on the back so damp moss isn’t in contact with your door’s paintwork (this is even the case if you opt to add some damp moss adjacent to the foliage (for some foliage varieties this can be helpful. You will be given this choice and I’ll share where & how to source sustainable moss yourself too)). The straw frame is lightweight as is your finished wreath, no matter the size. You can create unusual shapes if you wish. Closer to Christmas, you can easily change a straw-based door wreath to an indoor, table-top arrangement, even adding candles, without the danger of marking your table or tablecloth with damp moss etc. Straw quickly biodegrades (unlike metal frame, or even willow) and can be added later to your compost bin or pile. Or you can reuse the dry straw frame for a Spring Wreath…
To decorate - whether your preference is something Minimal and Naturalistic or something more Colourful and Flamboyant, you will have plenty of choice with Flouer’s Farm Grown Festive Foliage, Woodland Finds, Cones, Berries, Lichen … as well as Dried Fruit, Spice and Natural & Jewel-Toned Velvet ribbons. And you’re very welcome to bring along your own garden foliage, foraged or dried items, and adornments, so that you can make the wreath entirely personal to you.
We will have refreshments and libations to get us in the Christmas Spirit and, as ever, you’re very welcome to bring along your own choice of nibbles or tipple.
Spend a festive, creative and sustainable Christmas Wreath Workshop in Flouer’s studio at the Hirsel Homestead, Hirsel Estate, Coldstream, Scottish Borders TD5 8HU on Sunday 29th November, 2pm to 5pm.
