Create Flouer’s Explosive, Floral Fireworks Pumpkin Arrangement the night before all the ghouls and ghosts come out to play.
Spend a floral and fizz filled Friday evening creating a fireworks inspired floral pumpkin arrangement in our studio at the Hirsel Homestead, Hirsel Estate, Coldstream, Scottish Borders TD5 8HU on 30th October, 7pm to 9pm.
You will carve your pumpkin (orange rubber gloves supplied) and then arrange your bright and banging flowers into a large, expansive design - all shapes and flower forms inspired by fireworks and explosive sparkles.
These designs are perfect to adorn the entrance to your home for Halloween and beyond the 5th of November celebrations. The flowers will especially enjoy the cold & spooky night air. But if they’re still going when you’re over pumpkins - you can move them into a vase inside (just remember that fresh flowers prefer things cool to last as long as possible).
There will be fizz supplied to get the pumpkin party started. Should you wish to bring along snacks or alternative libations, please feel free.
Pumpkin or Fishbowl Vase - you choose:
We do not use floral foam in our designs (it’s toxic plastic) so this arrangement will be created in a water vessel inside the pumpkin so it can be refreshed and changed easily. The intention is to create the design in a pumpkin (the photo appears different because I’m letting my pumpkins continue to grow into October for maximum size - so the glass fishbowl in the photo was just to act in place of the pumpkin for now. However, should you prefer to create the design in a glass fishbowl instead of a container in a pumpkin - this IS something you can opt for. We just require you to notify us of this at booking (you can follow with an email if you don’t see an extra info section at booking) - so that we don’t need to reserve you a pumpkin and instead will purchase enough vases.
Exact flowers supplied on the night will entirely depend on whether we’ve had a freeze yet or not. But they will all have a fireworks and explosive appearance and inspiration along with a myriad of bright colours.
Whether you’re planning to go full on guising the following eve, holding your own Halloween Party or you’ll be ignoring the doorbell and hiding with all the lights off, then this will be a fun evening celebrating nature and finding bright and vivid light in the dark side of the year.
Workshop includes a pumpkin or fishbowl vase, vivid flowers and foliage & a glass (or two) of fizz. Rubber gloves, tools and apron will be supplied. Prices include VAT.
