Spend a lovely summer evening in the walled garden of the Hirsel estate, with FLOUER. We’ll be chatting all things peonies, flower farming and floristry. And CREATING!
I’ll teach you how to make a big, blousy hand-tied PEONY BOUQUET with some of FLOUER’s very special, locally farmed, PEONIES (including some of our rare Premium Collection varieties). And, of course, you will take your PEONY BOUQUET home with you.
The bouquet will include our beautiful peonies in varying shades of pink, and white along with lovely supporting blousy blooms and foliage to ensure masses of abundant impact with your creation. Just make sure you have a very large vase ready at home!
You’re very welcome to bring along a bottle of fizz (be that soft or alcoholic) and snacks to make a party of it. This will be a friendly, relaxed environment where we have some fun in the warmth of the walled garden, while I teach you floristry techniques.
Whether this is your first time or you’re a seasoned bouquet maker there will be something new for you to learn. I encourage group bookings or individuals to join-in as we’ll be chatting away and supportive of one another - often my workshops and talks result in new introductions and friendships so if you’re tempted but nervous to attend alone - please be assured that you will be welcomed and come away feeling included and delighted with your giant peony bouquet.
This will be the first of Flouer’s workshops in the Walled Garden - there are lots more seasonal flowers to come throughout the summer - but of course I had to kick things off in such beautiful and historic surroundings with the Queen of Flowers herself (imho) - the PEONY.
And, don’t worry about the weather, if it ends up we’re having monsoon summer rains we’re going to be well covered, as the Hirsel estate have kindly offered the back-up location of the Emu Pen (I wish I’d seen the emus in there) - a lovely long - open sided - stone building.
Friday 12th June, 6pm to 8.30pm.
Schedule: 6pm to 6.30pm (arrival, intro and chat). 6.30pm start creating. 8.30pm end.
Designated drivers and taxis etc are essential if you are bringing a bottle of boozy fizz, obviously, but also they might be useful so that you can keep your hands on that giant bouquet of peonies you’re taking home too.
If you have any additional requirements or questions, please get in touch with me - Zena - by email @ flouerflowers@gmail.com
Bookings will close for this on Wednesday 10pm - just so that I have time to prep properly.
(If you would prefer to have a single colour for the peonies - please let me know and I can accommodate).
